As many of you may know, alongside running Rebekah Marie Photos I am attending Langara College's Professional Photography diploma program. This project was a collaboration assignment with Danika Lee and Johnny Liu. We worked as a team, bringing in four vintage wedding gowns, three of which have been worn within my family; my mothers, my grandmothers and my aunts. We photographed on campus at Langara College and had help from De La Flore Designs for the bouquet and floral arrangements and Makenzie Shooter who did such an amazing job on giving our model natural bridal makeup.
Thank you to those who lent us their beautiful wedding gowns to be danced around in once again and to Danika and Johnny for being great at what they do!
Take a scroll through the shots we got of these beautiful gowns. It was so much fun to see these dresses in action! There is something about 'vintage' that demands my attention to the intricate details of fabric and design. As a bride, I am definitely noticing trends from 1960's onward coming back into contemporary wedding gown shops. And I love it!
